Robert W. Ritzel, 95, of Casa Grande passed away suddenly on Friday, January 12, 2018. Bob was born on Monday, September 18, 1922 in Los Angeles, California, the son of William E. and Edith Irene Ritzel.

He enlisted in the United States Navy on Monday, May 24, 1943 in Los Angeles, California. Bob was honorably discharged as a Seaman First Class on Monday, May 6, 1946 in New Orleans, Louisiana, after which he went on to graduate from the University of Southern California. In 1947, Bob met his wife, Judy, and in 1949 they entered into marriage.
The family moved to Colorado in 1956. In 1995, he and his wife retired and moved to Arizona City, Arizona. Bob had a passion for golf, bridge and helping others. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, and was honored by the Seeds of Hope in 2014 for his years of volunteer work. While living out his "Golden Years," one of Bob’s great joys was witnessing the success of his children, grandchildren, as well as the early years of his two great-grandchildren. Bob was a loving father,
grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed but will remain forever in our hearts.
Bob is preceded in death by his loving wife, Judy Ritzel. Bob is survived by his three children: Terry Ritzel of Tucson, Arizona; Tom Ritzel of Larkspur, Colorado; and Maureen Scott of Prescott, Arizona; his five grandchildren; his two great-grandchildren; and his many friends.
A memorial celebration of Bob’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church in Casa Grande, Arizona with Pastor Paul Elgin officiating.
