Robert Distelrath

Robert John "Bob" Distelrath, 69, of Huntertown, Ind., died on Jan. 2, 2012, at his winter home in Casa Grande.
The service will be later in Fort Wayne, Ind., with burial in a Catholic cemetery there.
Mr. Distelrath was born on Oct. 19, 1942, in Fort Wayne and was a son of Clarence and Frances Distelrath. He served in the Army and was a union master electrician who retired after 40 years and was proud of his trade. He loved animals, especially his dogs Sparky and Sugar. He was an American Legion member and member of Legion Riders Chapter 409 and Patriot Guard Riders. He was a member of a softball team at Fiesta Grande RV Resort.
Survivors include his companion, Vickie Vaughn; a son, Jeremy Distelrath of Huntertown; two stepdaughters; four sisters, Joann Young, Alene Baker and Mary Ellen Schingleston, all of Fort Wayne, and Diane Parker of West Virginia; and a brother, Dan Distelrath of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sondra.
