Robert Clint Davis

November 26, 1938 — February 12, 2019

Robert Clint Davis, known as Bud, passed
away Tuesday afternoon. He loved to laugh and
to make others laugh - he was witty, loved a
good pun and had a perpetual twinkle in his eye.
He met and married the love of his life, LaVon, in 1964, in
Morrow, Ohio. They shared laughter, tears and unwavering love
during their marriage of 54 years. They had four children - Mick,
Chad, Andrea and JP.
Bud lived his life to the fullest. He was a gospel singer and bass
player in the Davis Family Quartet. He crisscrossed the country on
motorcycles and in a huge RV.
He was a joyful cook. He obsessed over crafting the perfect
grilled cheese, inspiring his grandchildren to try to duplicate his epic
creations, and thought nothing of driving eight hours to Pennsylvania
to get a particular mustard he liked or buying an entire case of celery
seed because he liked it on his potato salad!
Bud could fix just about anything and was a plant whisperer.
He never met a clock he didn’t like or couldn’t fix, collecting several
over his lifetime.
He loved both God and music, taught Sunday school for a time,
and he served honorably in the U.S. Air Force for six years.
Bud Davis lit up the lives of all who knew him. He is much loved
and will be sorely missed.
Bud is survived by his wife, LaVon, and his four children and
their spouses; his brother, Carol; and numerous nieces, nephews,
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bud is preceded in death by his parents, Clint and Mary Davis;
his sisters, Deana Sempsrott, Jo Buckler; and one grandchild, Carlea
Davis.
There will be a memorial service at New Beginnings Church of
the Nazarene in Casa Grande, Arizona on Saturday, February 16th
at 11:00 a.m.
