Robert Ambrose

Robert "Joe" Ambrose, 86, of Casa Grande died Nov. 20, 2007 at home.


Mr. Ambrose was born Jan. 7, 1921 in Vale, Ore. He served in the Navy during World War II and was one of only about 40 men who survived when his ship was sunk. He later was an engineer.

Survivors include his wife, Margie "Trixie"; a daughter, Pauline Davis of Ohio; a stepdaughter, Penny Gale of Tucson; a stepson, Robert Quendun of San Diego; three brothers, Gaylord Ambrose of Virginia, Rupard Ambrose of Idaho and Henry Ambrose of Casa Grande; and seven grandchildren.
