d. June 25, 2015

CASA GRANDE - Richard William "Bill" Simmons, 86, an active part of the Casa Grande community for many years, died on June 25, 2015.

Mr. Simmons was known for his kind and attentive personality and left a legacy of many fine homes, churches, including Victory Baptist, Trinity Baptist and First Assembly of God, and other buildings he designed, consulted on or built in the city that he was proud to call home. Later in life he became an established artist. His pastels can be found in galleries and museums in the area.

He and his wife of more than 40 years, Wanda, had four children, four grandchildren and, to date, 12 great-grandchildren. Later in his life, after the death of Wanda, he met and married Dar. They shared a few enjoyable years together before cancer took her life.
