BAPCHULE - Rena Pearl Lopez, 83, died on May 30, 2020, at Banner-University Medical Center Phoenix.

Mrs. Lopez was born on July 17, 1936, in Ganado and was a daughter of Charlie Ashley and Roselyn James Slivers, the second oldest in a family of six sisters and two brothers. She graduated from Sherman Institute in Riverside, California, and married Augustine B. Lopez.

She was a loving, caring person who enjoyed being with her family and loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed her crime shows on TV and loved playing games on her phone and working puzzles. She loved going to casinos, which was her fun time.

Survivors include three daughters, Theresa F. Gibson of Bapchule, Charlotte Gasemo and Charlene Koloamatangi of Phoenix; a son, Herbert Ashley of Ganado; two sisters, Victoria Jones and Virginia Brown; a brother, Francis Brown; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Wilford and Robert Lopez, and a daughter, Roselyn Duarte.

Graveside service at 7 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Blackwater.
