Regis Alfred Antone

COOLIDGE - Regis Alfred Antone, 64, of Coolidge died on Jan. 10, 2014, at Florence Hospital at Anthem.

A wake service, including rosary, will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the Frances Antone home in Chuichu Village and continuing at 8 p.m. at the Rose Aveno home in Chuichu. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 7 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Catholic Mission. Burial will be in White Horse Pass Village Cemetery.

Mr. Antone was born on Aug. 9, 1949, in San Xavier and was a son of William and Augusta Cruz Antone. He served in the Army and was a Vietnam War veteran of the 101st Airborne Division. He enjoyed sports and especially the Boston Red Sox and Green Bay Packers. He was a meter reader and a dedicated employee of San Carlos Irrigation Project for nearly 23 years. An accomplished archery enthusiast, he was a member of Central Arizona Bowhunters.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Antone of Chuichu; a son, Shawn M. Antone of Coolidge; a daughter, Belinda Thomas of Chuichu; his companion, Valerie Gloria of Coolidge; three sisters, Dorene Antone of Hickiwan Village, Norma Antone and Rose Aveno of Chuichu; and four grandchildren.
