Reba Copeland

ARIZONA CITY — Reba Mae Copeland, 74, of Arizona City died on Feb. 19, 2011.
The service will be held in Colorado City, Colo.
Mrs. Copeland was born on Oct. 18, 1936, in Nashville, Tenn., and was a daughter of Clay and Ina M. Irvin. In the mid-1940s the family moved to Southern California and settled in San Dimas. She married Charles K. “Chuck” Copeland Jr. on March 7, 1953, in Las Vegas, Nev. They lived in Ontario and Upland, Calif. In 1969 they moved to Colorado to raise their four sons in what they saw as a better environment. They lived in Wiley and Steamboat Springs and for 32 years in Colorado City.
She was involved with her children and active in school activities for many years. She went back to school at age 28 to earn a high school diploma and continued with college studies. In addition to being a homemaker she was a real estate agent. In 2005 they moved to Arizona City for health reasons. She had chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. She spent the last five months in Casa Grande, in Casa Grande Regional Medical Center and Oasis Pavilion Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She loved music, sang well and knew most popular and country songs.
In addition to her husband, survivors include three sons, Gary L. Copeland of Puerto Aventuras, Quintana Roo, Mexico, Theodore J. “Ted” Copeland of Yuma and Kevin C. Copeland of Bullhead City; a brother, John W. Irvin of Glendora, Calif.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles “Kenny” Copeland III.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Valley Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
