Permelia Marrietta

Permelia Marrietta, 88, died on Nov. 26, 2017.

Mrs. Marrietta was born on Sept. 10, 1929, in Stotonic, where she lived all of her life. She spent most of it as a homemaker and caregiver to many foster children.

She loved spending time with family and friends and also enjoyed listening to gospel, waila and Elvis Presley music. She was known for her kindness and sincerity and enjoyed shopping, singing and helping in her church.

Survivors include three daughters, Donna B. Marrietta and Tina McCandless of Stotonic and Jolene Carrillo of Gilbert, and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Timothy; three brothers; and a sister.

Wake beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, at the District 4 Service Center. Funeral at 8 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at Stotonic Presbyterian Church. Burial in Stotonic Cemetery.
