Pauline Nance

On September 23, 2021, Pauline Martinez-Nance (83 years old), loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt passed away peacefully at her home in Phoenix, AZ. Pauline was born ton January 5, 1938 in Smiley, TX to Eluterio and Lucia Martinez. She was the youngest of 7 siblings. Pauline was energetic, generous and always had a contagious smile. She made a career out of building homes and renting them out to many families over the years. She enjoyed cooking, thrifting, playing cards, designing and building homes, dancing and going to the casino with her sisters. Pauline was preceded in death by her longtime partner, Patrick Sanchez, brothers Jose, Lucio and Amado Martinez, sister Ignacia Martinez-Mayoral, granddaughters, Paula and Taylor Hudson. She is survived by her children, Carol Geary-Hudson of Ahwatukee, AZ and Robert Geary of Apache Junction, AZ, grandchildren, Michael Geary of Gilbert, AZ, Thomas Geary of Mesa, AZ, Lauren Hudson-Juarez of Ahwatukee, AZ and great grandchildren LaPaul Juarez, Dezman Carter, of Ahwatukee, AZ, Kaylin, Alyssa, Tristan and Skyla Geary of Gilbert, AZ and sisters, Maria Martinez-Munoz of Casa Grande, AZ and Elida Martinez of Eloy, AZ. Services will be held on October 2, 2021, at 9:30am at J Warren Funeral Services “The Gardens Chapel” located at 525 N. Peart Rd., Casa Grande, AZ 85122. A gathering in the gardens will follow the service, food and refreshments will be served.
