BLACKWATER — Peter Miguel III, 51, died on Dec. 31, 2009 at Hospice of the Valley, Lund Home in Gilbert.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the Wellness Center in Sacaton. The graveside service will be at 7 a.m. Saturday in West Blackwater Cemetery.
Mr. Miguel was born on Nov. 8, 1958 in Florence. He was a fitness instructor for the Gila River Indian Community at the Wellness Center. He also worked at Blackwater Community School for 18 years.
Survivors include his wife, Irene C.; two daughters, Veronica Cruz of Sacaton Flats and Jazerhea Miguel of Blackwater; three sons, Peter Miguel IV of Casa Grande, Uriah Miguel Sr. of Sacaton Flats and Iziah Miguel Sr. of Blackwater; a sister, Connie Duarte of Blackwater; three brothers, Abel Miguel Sr. and Paul Miguel of Blackwater and Mark Miguel Sr. of Sacaton; and 15 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lydia and Peter Miguel Jr.; a brother, Joe Manuel Miguel; and a grandson, Angel Miguel.
