Oscar Garcia

Oscar Soto Garcia, 84, of Casa Grande died on April 14, 2011, at Hospice Family Care.
The celebration of life will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Desert Sky Baptist Church, with Pastor Don Brackbill and David Abril officiating.
Mr. Garcia was born on May 5, 1926, in Tucson and was a son of Ralph and Ercilia Garcia. He had a career in the Air Force and retired as a staff sergeant. He later was a sheet metal worker for Al & Riley’s Air Conditioning & Sheet Metal. He loved golf, bowling and the Arizona Wildcats, Diamondbacks and Rams.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha; three sons, Oscar R. and George R. Garcia of Casa Grande and Daniel R. Garcia of Tombstone; two sisters, Charolett Merschiem and Gloria Ortiz of California; a brother, Paul Garcia of California; 12 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, Andrew R. Garcia.
