Nicolas Vasquez

ELOY — Nicolas S. Vasquez Sr., 53, of Eloy died Sept. 4, 2009 at home.

Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church by the Rev. Marco Basulto.

Mr. Vasquez was born Sept. 10, 1955 in Eloy. He worked for Southern Pacific Railroad before retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter.

Survivors include two sons, Nicolas S. Vasquez Jr. of Tempe and Michael Vasquez of Casa Grande; two brothers, Santos Vasquez of Phoenix and Ramon Vasquez of Tucson; two sisters, Ecida Forget of Yuma and Gloria Vasquez of Sahuarita; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gloria and Paulino Vasquez, and a brother, Guadalupe Vasquez.
