SANTAN — Nelda Belone Walker, 61, of Phoenix died on Jan. 9, 2010 at Maricopa County Hospital.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today at St. Anne Catholic Mission. Funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 8 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in St. Anne Cemetery.
Ms. Walker was born on May 16, 1948 in Bellemont, Ariz. She worked in intake for the Department of Corrections.
Survivors include a daughter, Nakisha T. Walker of Casa Blanca; three brothers, Arthur Belone of Steamboat, Ariz., Amos Belone Jr. of Shiprock, N.M., and Wilford Belone of Tuba City; five sisters, Loretta Ortiz of Tuba City, Hilda Portillo of Flagstaff, Diana Belone of Tuba City, Veronica Thompson of Kirtland, N.M., and Lita Cott of Phoenix; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Amos L. Belone Sr.; a son, Marty J. Walker; and a sister, Arlene Begay.
