Merlina Sullivan

Merlina Sullivan was called home on May 5, 2020. She was born to Joe Thornton and Olivia Thornton on July 20, 1950 in Eloy, Arizona.
Merlina is survived by her husband of 50 years RJ Sullivan, 3 children Eraina Sullivan of Marietta, GA Olivia Russell, and Tyrone Sullivan of Laveen, Az 7 siblings, Bertha Thornton, Lucille Ellis, and Ricky Shelton of Eloy, AZ. Betty Gant and Darlene Boles of Arizona City, Az. Mary Thornton of Chandler, AZ. Josephine Starlings of Tempe,Az,
16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Merlina is proceeded in death, by both of her parents, 4 brothers, Freddie Thornton Sr, Willie Thornton, Robert Thornton and Charlie Thornton. 4 sisters Rowena Thornton, Jurlene Shelton, Minnie Douglas, Charles Etta Blair.

Merlina Sullivan was a member of the Eloy Church of Christ, and worked for Motorola for 30+ years until she retired, she enjoyed serving the Lord, singing, traveling, thrifting and yard selling with her sisters, spending quality time with her grandchildren, family and friends.
Merlina will be remembered mostly for having a heart of gold. She loved to care for others by often visiting people in the hospitals homes, or nursing homes. Merlina was a blessing and will surely be missed
