Marvin Mester

July 9, 1938 — May 10, 2014

Marvin Frank Mester, 75, of Casa Grande and Quitaque, Texas, died peacefully in his sleep in Casa Grande after a short battle with cancer on May 10, 2014.

The service will be later in Amarillo, Texas.

Mr. Mester was born on July 9, 1938, in South St. Paul, Minnesota, to Frank and Anna (Schleh) Mester. He graduated from Farmington (Minnesota) High School and married Janet E. Brusven on April 18, 1959, in St. Paul. He owned and operated Mester’s Auto Sales & Salvage in Amarillo and was an avid Harley-Davidson motorcycle rider, antique toy collector and a member of antique tractor clubs.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Mester. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Renee D. Mester Friemel and Sandra K. Mester of Amarillo and Sharon L. Mester Watson of Bushland, Texas; a son, Randy K. Mester of Childress, Texas; six grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a great-granddaughter.

J. Warren Funeral Services, Mountain View Chapel of Casa Grande and Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Amarillo were in charge of arrangements.
