Marilyn Bridwell

June 1, 1944 — January 2, 2014

Marilyn Bridwell, 69, of Casa Grande for the last 30 years and of Scottsdale prior, passed peacefully after a 5 week battle with complications caused by pneumonia. Marilyn was co-owner of Golden Touch Realty and Developers along with her husband Bill Bridwell and was managing member of Realty Executives Arizona Home Pro’s LLC in Casa Grande. Over her
lifetime, Marilyn served in many capacities including The Greater Casa Grande Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors Club, The Red Hat Society of Casa Grande, The Valley Humane Society Board of Directors, and The Casa Grande Valley Cotton Wives. Prior she served
as President of the Scottsdale Jaycees Auxiliary and was Dance and Rodeo Chairman of the Scottsdale Parada Del Sol.
Her favorite roles, however, were as wife, mother and grandmother
to the family that survives her including husband Bill Bridwell and former husband Gary McWherter of Casa Grande, and her children Mike McWherter, Misty McWherter, James McWherter and spouse Jessica, Mindi McWherter Dawkins and spouse Bryan, Mitch
McWherter and spouse Kim, and Shawna Bridwell Parker and spouse Jim all of Casa Grande, Billy D. Bridwell III and spouse Christy of Chandler and Brad Bridwell and spouse Ashley of Phoenix. Marilyn’s true loves were her 10 grandchildren, including Megan, 18, Troy, 16, Rome, 15, Cyann, 12, Jade, 11, Jerzy, 10, Nathan, 4, and Cooper, 3 weeks, all of Casa Grande and Billy IV, 8 and CJ, 6 both of Chandler. Marilyn is also survived by her sisters Sue Johnson of Tempe and Barbara Toth of Phoenix.

Services in celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8th, at The United Methodist Church on Trekell Rd. in Casa Grande, where Marilyn and Bill were married 29 years ago with a reception following at The Property Conference Center on the Gila Bend Hwy. in Casa Grande, where Marilyn and Bill’s wedding reception was also held. Services will be led by her nephew, Pastor Buc Bridwell of Seattle and Cowboy Preacher, father-in-law,
Bill Bridwell Sr., of Scottsdale. Marilyn was a regular donor to several local charities including
Against Abuse, The Valley Humane Society, Seeds of Hope, and both the Boys and Girls Clubs of Casa Grande and of Scottsdale. The family would ask that memorial contributions be made in her honor to the charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
