ELOY — Maria Jesus Vega, 83, of Eloy died on June 10, 2010, at Hospice Family Care in Casa Grande.
The wake service will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at Eloy Apostolic Assembly. The funeral there will be at 8 a.m. Saturday, with Pastor Felix Bermejo officiating. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.
Ms. Vega was born on Jan. 4, 1927, in Mexico and was a daughter of Trinidad Ramirez and Fulgencio Vega Garcia. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking for her family. She also enjoyed knitting, watching soap operas and walking in the early morning.
Survivors include three daughters, Lorenza Alvarado of Eloy, Juana Garcia of Arizona City and Eva Garcia of McAllen, Texas; a son, Jose Garcia of Eloy; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fidencio Cardenas; two brothers; four sisters; and a great-grandchild, Ivan Sierra.
