SAN LUCY VILLAGE - Margaret Pilone Manuel, 87, of San Lucy died on March 1, 2015, at West Valley Emergency Care in Buckeye.

The wake will begin at 6 p.m. today at San Lucy Catholic Mission. Funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 8 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. Gregory Rice. Burial will be in San Lucy Cemetery.

Ms. Manuel was born on April 2, 1927, in Kaka Village and was a daughter of Ricardo Pilone and Feliciana Enos. She was a housekeeper, working for the Narramore family to supplement her family’s income, and an elder care giver in later years. She also was a traditional basket dancer and basket weaver. She loved to cook and take care of her family and also enjoyed doing needlepoint.

Survivors include five sons, Albert Manuel of San Lucy, Felix Manuel of Tucson, Roger Manuel of Queen Creek, Andrew and Danny Manuel of San Lucy; four daughters, Diana, Mary and Marjorie Manuel, all of San Lucy, and Gloria Manuel of Gila Bend; a brother, Jose Pilone of San Lucy; three sisters, Alice Lawson of Sells, Jennie Morris and Sally Osegueda of San Lucy; 46 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by four sons, Fernando, Juan and Leroy Manuel and a baby; four daughters, Delores and Jean Manuel and two babies; a brother, Archie Pilone; and a sister, Molly Moreno.
