Margaret A. Jose

CHUICHU VILLAGE - Margaret A. Jose, 84, died on Jan. 2, 2016, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Tucson.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 6 p.m. Thursday at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited at 7 at the Jose home, with a wake continuing. Burial will be early Friday in White Horse Pass Cemetery.

Mrs. Jose was born on May 23, 1931, in Sacaton and was a daughter of Anita and Juan Osife. She was a senior elder coordinator for the Tohono O’odham Nation.

Survivors include a son, Rick Osife of Blythe, California; two brothers, Gene Osife of Chuichu and Francisco Osife of San Francisco; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford.
