Malinda Miles

SACATON - Malinda Miles, 72, of Sacaton died on Jan. 23, 2015, at Chandler Regional Medical Center.

The graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Vah-Ki Cemetery.

Ms. Miles was born on June 30, 1942, in Sacaton and was a daughter of Anto Vavages and Lottie Liston. She was a homemaker and a very giving, caring and loving person who always treated people with respect. She was very thoughtful and spiritual, loved her grandchildren and was very supportive of her family. She encouraged the use of her native language with cultural, traditional respect.

Survivors include a son, Ernest Miles of Stotonic; four daughters, Vicky Conner and Roscinda Miles of Payson, Dorothy Lopez of Bapchule and Mae Fern Vasquez of Sacaton; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Delton and Earling Darrin Miles; a brother, Leonard Vavages; and two sisters, Elaine Kisto and Violet Vavages.
