Mae Fowler

Mae Morgan Fowler, 89, of Casa Grande died on Sept. 4, 2013, at Hospice Family Care.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Assembly of God. The celebration of life will follow at 11, with Elder C.C. Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mrs. Fowler was born on June 3, 1924, in Carthage, Texas, and was a daughter of B.F. and Lilly Haggins. She attended school there and in Gilmer, Texas. She met the love of her life, R.B. Fowler, and they were married on Dec. 9, 1954. She was a member of Greater Evangelist Temple Church of God in Christ in Casa Grande for 31 years until her husband was installed as pastor of Westside Church of God in Christ in Eloy. She worked faithfully by his side as first lady of the church until her death.
She worked as a habilitation technician for the state and loved gardening, fishing and cooking.
In addition to her husband of nearly 59 years, survivors include seven sons, Paul W. Hale of Dallas, Jimmy Robertson of Casa Grande, Rickey and Robin Fowler of Oregon, Ruben Fowler of Phoenix, Renaldo and Greg G. Fowler of Phoenix; two sisters, Marlene Pineset of Casa Grande and Ruby Pearl Coker of Texas; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby W. Haggins; two brothers, Elijah and Charles Haggins; and two sisters, Jennie Lucas and Ann O. Coleman.
