Lyda Dykes

CHUICHU — Lyda Jane Dykes, 55, of ChuiChu Village died on June 15, 2011, at Archie Hendricks Sr. Skilled Nursing Home in Sells.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Native Christian Fellowship Church. Visitation will follow from noon to 6 p.m. at the Dykes home. Burial will be in North ChuiChu Cemetery.
Mrs. Dykes was born on Nov. 12, 1955, in Sacaton. She was a homemaker and an expert basket weaver, using yucca plants and horsehair.
Survivors include a son, Neil Thomas of ChuiChu; a sister, Elnora Thomas of ChuiChu; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; a daughter, Marla Dykes; her parents, Rufus and Elsie Thomas; three brothers; and a sister.
