Lurline Cooper

SACATON - Lurline Marie Cooper, 82, died on Oct. 10, 2013, at Caring House.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony Catholic Mission in Sacaton, with rosary recited at 6. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anne Catholic Mission in Santan by the Rev. Gregory Rice. Burial will be in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery.
Mrs. Cooper was born on March 24, 1931, in Santa Rosa Village and was a daughter of Avalon and Theresa Lopez. She worked as a hotel laundress and enjoyed croquet, cooking, listening to music and dancing to chicken scratch music. She also loved traveling after retirement and spending time with her grandchildren and taking them on trips. She was very caring and compassionate.
Survivors include two sons, Gary and Anthony Cooper of Sacaton; three daughters, Kathleen Jose and Doreen Cooper-William of Stotonic and Elaine Cooper of Blackwater; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold, on May 23; a son, Adrian Cooper; four brothers, Jose, George, Mendez and Augustine Lopez Sr.; three sisters, Ella, Carmen and Marcelina Lopez; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Cooper.
