Luis O. Pena Jr

CASA GRANDE - Luis O. Pe�a Jr., 42, died peacefully on Dec. 23, 2019, at Banner-University Medical Center Phoenix.

Mr. Pe�a was born on July 16, 1977, in Boston and was a son of Luis O. Pe�a Sr. and Loida Gomez. He worked as a firefighter, an Amtrak police officer, served during the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and finished his career with the U.S. Border Patrol in Arizona.

Even after severely injured in the line of duty, he lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed traveling abroad, spending time with loved ones and watching anime and had a passion for collecting. He had a heart of gold and always wanted to help others.

He is survived by both parents; two sisters, Eleddys and Arelis; and two daughters, Alejandra and Kathy.

Celebration of life at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4, at Compass Christian Church.
