Lorenzo Sanchez Rodriguez

CASA GRANDE - Lorenzo Sanchez Rodriguez, 77, of Casa Grande died on May 31, 2016, at home, with his family by his side.

Mr. Rodriguez was born on Sept. 4, 1938, in Martindale, Texas, to Juanita (Sanchez) and Jesus Rodriguez Sr. He loved to garden, raise chickens, listen to music, spend time with his family, dance to chicken scratch music and hang out with his friends.

He also liked to go fishing in Gila Bend and watch his good-time movies. A suave dresser, he always looked nice.

Survivors include his companion, Juanita Moristo; four daughters, Julie Rodriguez of Casa Grande, Adrienne Rodriguez of Palo Verde Stand Village, Rosie Rodriguez of Casa Grande and Velia Rodriguez of Eloy; two sons, Reynaldo Moristo and Lorenzo Rodriguez Jr. of Casa Grande; two sisters, Dominga Almanda and Mary "Nena" Meza of Casa Grande; three brothers, Jesse Rodriguez Jr. of Casa Grande, Anastacio "Chito" Rodriguez of Phoenix and Arculano "Cano" Rodriguez of Tucson; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Patricia and Melissa Rodriguez; two sons, Larry and Alfonzo Moristo Sr.; a sister, Virginia Rodriguez; two brothers, Pete and Alberto Rodriguez; and a grandson, Tim Miles.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday at Christ Assembly Church. The celebration of life will follow at 10. Burial will be in Santa Rosa Village Southside Cemetery.
