SANTAN — Lorenzo Thomas Edwards, 62, died on Aug. 17, 2012, at Caring House in Sacaton.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at Upper Santan Presbyterian Church. The funeral there will be at 8 a.m. Saturday, with Pastor Aaron Johns officiating. Burial will be in Upper Santan Cemetery.
Mr. Edwards was born on July 6, 1950, in Sacaton and was a son of Justin Edwards and Gladys Lewis. He worked in construction and loved listening to music, horses, playing horseshoes and spending time with his family and friends, including his great-nephews and great-niece. He loved to tell them stories of his youth, dance, smile and make people laugh. He loved to talk to people and made friends easily.
Survivors include a sister, Nellie Deel of Chandler; two nephews; and three nieces. He was preceded in death by ; three brothers, Leonard and Virgil Edwards and Riley Lewis; and three sisters, Wanda Garwthorp, Barbara Johnson and Eleanor Lewis.
