Lola Mae Nelson

SACATON - Lola Mae Nelson, 65, died on Feb. 23, 2014, at home.

The wake will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday at Vah-Ki Presbyterian Church. The funeral there will be at 7 a.m. Sunday, with the Rev. Aaron Johns officiating. Burial will be in Vah-Ki Cemetery.

Mrs. Nelson was born on July 14, 1948, in Sacaton and was a daughter of Roger and Joan Dixon. She was a nursing assistant and was devoted to her family.

Survivors include a son, Stanley Nelson Jr. of Casa Blanca; a daughter, Marlene Nelson of Santa Rosa; three sisters, June Manuel of Salt River, Joy Setoyant of Casa Blanca and Carla Terry of Santan; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Nelson Sr.; a son, Roger Nelson Sr.; and a brother, Rodney Dixon.
