Linda Myers

COOLIDGE - Linda Sue Myers, 60, of Coolidge died on Sept. 15, 2013.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel. The celebration of life will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Coolidge-Florence Elks Lodge, with Willard Moody officiating.
Mrs. Myers was born on Dec. 16, 1952, in El Paso, Texas. She started working for Arizona Title at age 15 with her mom, Virginia. The company later became First American Title Co., where she eventually became vice president of escrow for Pinal County. She retired after 37 years. She later worked for Stinger Welding. She was a timer for every Central Arizona College rodeo from 1978 until March of this year with her good friend Sue Maybery. She also timed or worked at the snack bar for the Florence Junior Parada for many years.
She joined Coolidge-Florence Elks Lodge and loved to volunteer, waiting tables, organizing and helping with fundraisers. She helped organize the memorial services for deceased members. She raised funds for many charity events including March of Dimes, which honored her for surviving polio as a child, and for the Elks Christmas shopping spree for underprivileged children and the Pinal Council for CASA/Foster Christmas party for foster children. She gave her smile, warmth and caring to anyone in need. She had a strong belief in God and always put her family and friends first.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Varr; a son, Vance Myers of Coolidge; her mother, Virginia Carter-Padgett of Coolidge; two brothers, Rik Carter of Florence and Larry Carter of Shasta Lake, Calif.; and two sisters, Judy Sadler of Maricopa and Cindy Cerny of Reno, Nev.
