Lila Wisdom

Ms. Wisdom was born in Tucson and lived in Casa Grande, where she graduated from high school in 1956. She went on to attend the University of Arizona and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 1960. She found adventure later on the East Coast, moving to New York City. There, she met all the right people and in no time found a place to live and a new job at Lord & Taylor, where she was quickly promoted as a buyer.

She went on to work for Doris Duke as well as Brooke Shields & Company. She eventually returned to Arizona and settled into Scottsdale for her remaining years. During that time she worked in a number of positions with a range of companies. Her remaining work years from 1995 to 2005 were for America West Airlines, where she was in the international department.

Viewing and rosary from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24, at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Road. Funeral Mass celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3801 N. Miller Road. Burial at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 27 in Casa Grande Mountain View Cemetery.
