Leroy Dodge

January 1, 1939 — May 13, 2018

CASA GRANDE - Raymond Leroy Dodge of Casa Grande died at home on May 13, 2018.

Mr. Dodge was born on New Year's Day in Breckenridge, Colorado, to Orville and Freda (Bader) Dodge. He graduated from Breckenridge High School and worked for the town of Breckenridge Public Works. He also was a volunteer firefighter there. He moved his family to Casa Grande in 1972 and worked at the ASARCO Sacaton mine as a "powder monkey." After the mine closed he remained as a security guard until he retired.

He enjoyed when his family visited, especially during the holidays, and doted on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His hobbies included golf, bowling, woodworking and four-wheeling with his blue Dodge Power Wagon pickup. He loved to watch old John Wayne movies and other westerns.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Linda Dodge; a daughter and son, Susan Smith of Casa Grande and Kenny Dodge of Eloy; two stepchildren, Lester Jones of Las Vegas and Lairda Smith of Casa Grande; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

No service at his request.

J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel in charge of arrangements.
