Leonard Thornton

Leonard Earl Thornton, 63, of Casa Grande died on Oct. 27, 2013, at Oasis Pavilion Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
The graveside service will be at 9:30 a.m. today in National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road in Phoenix.
Mr. Thornton was born on July 22, 1950, in Phoenix and was a son of Mary Thornton. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, serving from 1969 to 1972, and later was an ambulance driver.
Survivors include a daughter, Andrea C. Wheeler of Yuma; three sons, Wayne and Sean Thornton of Casa Grande and William Thornton of Phoenix; a sister, Donna Vermeylen; six brothers, Donald, Doyle and Stan Palmer, Phillip, Andy and Cecil Woodrom; and seven grandchildren.
