Leon James

BAPCHULE - Leon James, 83, died Oct. 29, 2008 at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.


The wake will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday at the District 5 Elderly Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Catholic Church by the Rev. Ed Meulemans.

Mr. James was born in Sacaton and was a son of Phillip Gaiti and Suzanna James. He served in the Marine Corps and was a railroad lineman. He enjoyed gardening and yard work. He also loved visiting his family and friends.

Survivors include two nieces, including Janie Antone of Bapchule; a nephew; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Veronica, and two sons, Anthony and Frederick James.
