Lawrence "Larry" Schelske

Lawrence Karl "Larry" Schelske, 81, of Casa Grande died on June 28, 2014.

The memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Central Lutheran Church in Casa Grande.

Mr. Schelske was born on Sept. 22, 1932, in Mellette, South Dakota, to Emma and Karl Schelske. He worked for the US West telephone company before retiring in 1986 and lived most of his life in Oregon, retiring in Casa Grande. He was an active member of Central Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening, woodworking and travel.

Survivors include his wife, Connie; a daughter, Louise Birk; a son, David; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark.

Memorial contributions may be made to Casa Grande Food Bank.
