Larry Richard Anweiler, 69, of Casa Grande died on March 4, 2023, from lung cancer.

Mr. Anweiler was born on Feb. 12, 1954, in Bronxville, New York, to Annalee Wages and Calvin Anweiler. His father was in the Navy and became a captain, so he spent his early years of life living on military bases around the world. He received a bachelor’s degree from Chico State University, Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University and a doctorate in finance from Northcentral University. He worked as a college professor with Purdue University Global, where he taught real estate and finance for 19 years.

Education was essential to him, and he always kept up with current events and the financial markets. His perseverance in life was a lesson he passed on to students, family and friends, to remember to hold their heads high and overcome challenges that came their way. He was always smiling and making jokes that made others laugh with his boisterous personality. He was known for his kindness, positivity and way of bringing joy to everyone around him. He was friendly and had many hobbies and interests. His favorites were target shooting and playing golf, and he was always up for a good time. He particularly enjoyed living in Arizona and Casa Grande. He was known for his infectious laughter and exuberant spirit.

He had a heart of gold and loved nothing more than spending time with his loved ones. He was a devoted parent to his daughter Victoria Anweiler, always going out of his way to show his love and support. He was preceded in death by his parents.
