John Pryor

ARIZONA CITY — John Clinton Pryor, 46, died on April 7, 2011, at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Pryor was born in San Manuel on July 18, 1964. He grew up in Casa Grande, where he attended high school. He lived in Tempe for several years but recently bought a home in Arizona City to move back to his hometown area. For several years he was a single dad. He loved his daughters and was very proud of their accomplishments. He attended and completed training in air conditioning. During most of his working life he was in supervisory positions in manufacturing and was a very productive man in his work settings. He was a skilled machine operator.
He also enjoyed camping, boating and fishing trips with his family and friends as well as off-road activity. Due to chronic health problems, he was forced to leave work and found other ways to contribute productively. He was a very loyal friend to many people and would jump at the chance to help someone. He had a very likeable manner, and people were attracted to him as a result. He loved motorcycle riding and participated often in fundraising rides to help others. He also enjoyed chili cook-offs and had his favorite recipes.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eloise Pryor, and his wife and the mother of his two daughters, Rachel Pryor. He is survived by his daughters, Heather Pryor of Mesa and Jordan Pryor of Tempe; a brother, Maverick Pryor of Casa Grande; and his father, Clinton Pryor of Genoa, N.Y.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande from 6 to 8 p.m.
