Jimmy Ferguson, 68, of Casa Grande passed away Friday, November 8 at Hospice Family Care.
He was born and raised in Eloy. He played football and ran track for Santa Cruz High School. After high school in 1966 he joined the Army. He retired from Fort Huachuca in January of 1985. Jimmy’s favorite duty station was the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles where he was in charge of communications. He also enjoyed fishing and camping in Pinetop and Northern Arizona.
Jimmy was married to his wife, Judy, for 50 years in July of 2013. He was a great dad who loved his sons and spoiled his granddaughters.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Judy; two sons, Timothy of Phoenix and Jeffrey of Casa Grande; one sister, Winola Huddleston of Eloy; and two granddaughters, Colby and Kayleigh.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Winnie Ferguson, two brothers and one sister.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 16 at 1:00 pm at Cole & Maud the Gardens Chapel. Burial will be private.
