Jim Louis Harris, 58, of Casa Grande died on Sept. 14, 2013, at Hospice of Arizona Greenfield House in Mesa.
The celebration of life will begin at 5 p.m. Sept. 27 at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, with Darwin Chandler officiating.
Mr. Harris was born on Jan. 27, 1955, in Reverie, Tenn. He was a self-employed truck driver and was proud of CM Farms Trucking Corp., which he operated with his wife. He was a member of Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association from 2000 to 2010.
He lived life to the fullest and was a member of Modified Motorcycle Association. He loved riding his Harley-Davidson and tipping a beer or two with his buddies at rallies or other meetings. If he was not working he was riding. He loved a good steak and was master of the barbecue wherever he was.
Survivors include his wife, Terri Matlock; a daughter, Brittany Harris Brown of Gilbert; a son, Dustin J. Harris of Casa Grande; a stepdaughter, September R. Matlock Sansone of Gilbert; a stepson, Travis R. Matlock of Hackett, Ark.; his mother, Wilma Harris of Marana; a sister, Wilma Jean Young of Tucson; a brother, Jerry Harris of Marana; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, A.P. Harris.
An unwrapped toy may be brought to the service for the annual toy drive he loved.
