Ms Lucas was born in Carthage, TX; a daughter of Belva and Lilly Haggin. She is preceded by her husband Howard Lucas and 2 sons. She is survived by 2 sons and 4 daughters, 32 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren.

Burial was held at Mt. View Cemetery.
