Janie C. Leon, 65, of Casa Grande died on Sept. 28, 2014, at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. The celebration of life will follow at 11, with Diego Calvan officiating. The family requests that no black be worn. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mrs. Leon was born on Nov. 5, 1948, in Harlingen, Texas, and was a daughter of Jose D. Castillo and Anita B. Betancourt. She had a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Arizona State University and worked in customer service for a utility company. She attended Casa Grande Baptist Church and enjoyed going to casinos, watching Lifetime movies and the Diamondbacks. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Jeanne Ruiz and Brandi Osuna of Casa Grande; a son, Ricky L. Jarrett of Phoenix; two sisters, MaryAnn Garza and Maggie Edwards-Villa of Casa Grande; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony R., and a grandson, Albert Ruiz III.
