Janet Steele

ELOY - Janet Elaine Steele, 67, of Eloy died on Jan. 7, 2014, at home with her family by her side after a long battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

The celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Memory Gardens, 1451 E. Florence Blvd. in Casa Grande.

Mrs. Steele was born on Sept. 25, 1946, in Fabens, Texas, and was a daughter of Wilbur and Marie Hervey. She was raised near El Paso, Texas, and moved with her husband to Longmont, Colo., to raise their family. A homemaker, she loved spending time with her friends and family.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Paul; two daughters, Kim Smith of Venice, Fla., and Paula Eggerling of Berthoud, Colo.; a son, Roy Steele of Mead, Colo.; a sister, Ruth Krouskopf of Las Cruces, N.M.; a brother, Frank Hervey of Longmont; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Jean Hartin, Wanetta Wright and Carol Bush.
