Janet (Haag) Granander, 73, of Casa Grande died on Oct. 30, 2013, at home. Her husband was in the hospital at the time, but her loving orange tabby tomcat was by her side.
The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Nov. 23 at Grace Baptist Church.
Mrs. Granander was born on May 28, 1940, in St. Paul, Minn., and was a daughter of Robert C. and Dorothy E. Haag. The family moved a few miles to North St. Paul when she was about 10. She loved her pet birds and pet cats, obviously not at the same time.
She met her future husband on her first day at what was then Mankato State College and they were married on May 7, 1960. She was an avid reader, house cleaner and cook. She shared her "born again" Baptist beliefs with her husband and was a dedicated stay-at-home mom to her identical twin daughters, who have been registered nurses in the San Diego area for more than 30 years.
Survivors include her husband, John; two daughters, Debbie Keais of San Diego and Diane Granander of La Mesa, Calif.; a sister, Joanne Zehngraff of Hawaii; and a grandchild.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
