Jack Ray Murray

December 3, 1945 — January 12, 2021

Jack’s journey began on December 3, 1945 when he was born to Warren G. Harding and Melissia Murray in Casa Grande, Arizona. Jack grew up on a farm near Stanfield with one brother, Grady, and one sister, Jenny. He graduated from Casa Grande Union High School in 1963. After high school, Jack served in the United States Army and completed two tours of duty in Thailand and Vietnam. After completing his service to his country, Jack attended Southwestern Bible College in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for three years where he studied Theology. Upon leaving college, Jack made his home in Houston, Texas where he worked in the hotel industry and loved to spend his free time fishing. He loved the horse racing business and began training race horses and owned horses that ran in races throughout the Midwest and West. After a while, Jack began to miss the beloved Arizona desert, family, and friends and decided to move back to Arizona until his death on January 12, 2021. Jack is survived by his sister, Jenny (Bill) Shaw, three nephews, grand nephews, grand nieces, one uncle, many cousins and friends. He will be greatly missed.
