ARIZONA CITY — J.B. Gore, 86, of Arizona City died at home on April 20, 2012.
The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. May 4 at the Arizona City Moose Lodge.
Mr. Gore was born on May 21, 1925, in Locust Grove, Okla., to Joseph B. and Mona (Robbins) Gore, the sixth of seven children. He served with the Navy in the Pacific Theater of World War II. He was a quality control engineer in the nuclear field and moved to Arizona City in 1986 from North Carolina.
He was a member of American Legion Post 8 in Casa Grande and Moose Lodge 1038 in Arizona City. He loved to dance with his wife, was an avid golfer and liked the outdoors. He was a kind, caring man who made many friends and loved his family.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Juanita; three children, Cathy Groven of Pahrump, Nev., Gordon Marquart of Arizona City and Randy Gore of South Lake Tahoe, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy and George Gore, four sisters, Lavon Baker, Pauline Enos, Helen Wallace and Mary Gore; and a son, Glenn Marquart.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Moose Lodge or any veterans organization.
