Ismael Gomez

MARICOPA - Ismael Gomez, 69, of Maricopa died on Jan. 17, 2015, at home, with his family by his side.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande, with rosary recited at 7. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Casa Grande by the Rev. Leo Floyd. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mr. Gomez was born on Oct. 19, 1945. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and later worked in carpentry and agriculture. He enjoyed playing pool and socializing with his friends. He was a fun and loving person who was devoted to his family.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Esmeralda; two daughters, Beatrice Gomez of Weatherford, Texas, and Gloria Estrada of Maricopa; a son, Jesus Gomez of Maricopa; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
