Irene Gobea Ruelas

Irene Gobea Ruelas, 62, of Casa Grande died March 16, 2008 at Arizona Heart Hospital in Phoenix.


Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, with rosary recited at 7. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mrs. Ruelas was born Sept. 17, 1945 in Mesa and was a daughter of Frank and Henrietta Gobea. She was a cashier. She was a member of St. Anthony's Church, volunteered as a seamstress and taught Catechism. She enjoyed going to casinos, cooking for her family, listening to Mariachi music and watching novelas.

Survivors include a daughter, Sonya Corralejo of Casa Grande; three sons, Chris, Hector and Victor Ruelas III, all of Casa Grande; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Ruelas Jr.
