He loved his job and his coworkers who were all his “brothers” and all considered his second family. Carlos was always there for his friends as they were always there for him. He loved sports, especially the 49ers. Carlos was a loyal family man. He was passionately involved with his children and their activities. He also cherished spending time with his young granddaughter, Zelda. Carlos enjoyed working on and spending time in his backyard. He looked forward to taking family trips to Rocky Point Mexico and Sea World. No matter where he went, Carlos made new friends, and he had countless. Carlos far surpassed the survival time line which the doctors had predicted. Even as his illness progressed, Carlos actively met every day with the strength to survive. He was considered a walking miracle. Out of love for his family, friends, and life itself, he fought his cancer daily for three years with every ounce of strength he had. There will be no funeral services, however there will be a private celebration of life planned. Carlos’s wish was cremation and to go home with his family
