Herman Austin Hoffman

GILA BEND - Herman Austin Hoffman Sr., 67, died March 29, 2008 at Hospice of the Valley.


The wake service will begin at 7 a.m. Saturday at the Hoffman home, with burial to follow in Pioneer Cemetery.

Mr. Hoffman was born April 21, 1940 in San Carlos and was a son of Mariam and John R. Hoffman. He was an evangelist.

Survivors include his wife, Mary D.; three sons, Herman "Sonny" Hoffman Jr., Jonathan and Nathanael Hoffman; four daughters, Marilyn "June" Curley, Dalleriene and Phillena Hoffman and Lynnita Hoffman-Coy; a brother, Willard Hoffman; a sister, Frieda Hawthorne; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Alexander and George Hoffman, and two sisters, Hattie Thorne and Loretta Benalley.
