Herbert "Herb" Gould, 92, of Casa Grande died on Jan. 12, 2013, at home.
The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today in Mountain View Cemetery, with Pastor Dave Eleiott officiating.
Mr. Gould was born on Feb. 5, 1920, in Defiance, Ohio, and was a son of Glen E. Gould and Goldie Himes. He was an Army veteran of World War II and served in the Philippines. He owned and operated Gould PDQ and Arizona City markets and worked at Grower Ginning Co., Casa Grande Oil Mill and Greater Arizona Ranches as office manager.
He loved dogs, especially Heidi, and also enjoyed fishing, travel and good music. When he was young he enjoyed participating in football, basketball, baseball and track. He was a good handyman.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie S. Ballard of Casa Grande and Glenna Walton of Central; a sister, Dorothy Darbyshire of Pandora, Ohio; five grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Bette, and a brother, James Gould.
Memorial contributions may be made to Christian Church of Casa Grande or Hospice Charitable Fund of Central Arizona.
