Harold Chapman

August 10, 1926 — March 22, 2015

ARIZONA CITY - Harold B. Chapman, 88, of Arizona City died on March 22, 2015, at home, with his wife, daughter and two nieces by his side.

The celebration of life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Arizona City Evangelical Methodist Church, with Pastor Ernie Smith officiating.

Mr. Chapman was born on Aug. 10, 1926, in Paris, Tennessee, and was the son of George and Sadie Chapman. He served in the military and, before retirement, was a hydraulic crane operator and member of the Operating Engineers union. He also was a member of the Machinists union and a truck driver delivering construction equipment.

He was a Christian and a loving, devoted family man who enjoyed praying for people in need. He also enjoyed camping, travel, church and spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Jack.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Marnie Lurossie Chapman; a daughter, Carolyn Kline; a sister, Mary Sue Peterson; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon R. McCloud, and two sisters, Melva Freeman and Bertha Volsted.
